On January 15, 2025, Florida officially approved the use of Florida Goldback currency, marking the launch of the Florida Goldback Series. This makes Florida the latest state to join the growing trend of Goldback currency, recognized as a practical and innovative form of gold-backed value.

What Exactly Are Florida Goldbacks?
Florida Goldbacks are not traditional currency issued by the government. Instead, they represent a private, voluntary standard of value based on real gold. Each Goldback note contains a specific fraction of a troy ounce of 24-karat gold, vacuum-sealed within a protective layer.
Think of them as a tangible way to hold and transact with gold in smaller, more convenient denominations. They come in various denominations (1, 5, 10, 25, and 50), each containing its corresponding fraction of gold.
